Central Support
Keystone lawyers enjoy a uniquely empowering working environment—one that combines complete professional freedom with the reassurance of exceptional operational support. Behind the scenes, a highly experienced management team ensures that every lawyer has the tools, guidance and infrastructure they need to deliver outstanding client service. It’s a model designed around the realities of modern legal practice: agile, collaborative and meticulously supported.
At the core of this model sits our 70‑strong Central Office team, whose mission is simple: to make life easier for Keystone lawyers. Acting as the firm’s operational powerhouse, they take responsibility for every aspect of administration, compliance, IT, finance and marketing. Their expertise ensures that even the most complex business processes run smoothly, allowing lawyers to focus entirely on their clients and the development of their practices.
Yet it’s not only about efficiency—it’s about partnership. The Central Office team plays an active role in fostering the strong sense of connection and cohesion that defines Keystone. They bring a deep understanding of legal practice, an anticipatory approach to problem‑solving, and a genuine commitment to supporting each lawyer as an individual. Whether coordinating fee‑earner support, integrating new joiners or helping colleagues collaborate across disciplines, they are instrumental in shaping a culture where people feel supported, connected and able to excel.
It’s this rare balance of genuine care and first‑class capability that sets Keystone apart. The Central Office team operates with the attentiveness of an in‑house concierge service and the capability of a fully fledged law‑firm infrastructure—treating every lawyer as the VIP they are. Their dedication ensures that Keystone doesn’t just function seamlessly; it thrives.

Community
Keystone is a cohesive law firm with an unparalleled sense of community where the firm’s lawyers work and play together; not just occasionally, but all the time, if they wish. Keystone lawyers know each other well and have excellent working relationships, unencumbered by internal politics. Our lawyers regularly refer client instructions to colleagues with complementary expertise. In fact, approximately 30% of client work at Keystone is cross-referred between lawyers. They also work in teams on matters that require a multi-disciplinary approach.
Our vibrant and varied social programme includes lunches/dinners, award ceremonies, wine tastings, theatre/opera, sports teams and two firm-wide parties a year. All in all, there are over 50 events a year, entirely voluntary, but well-attended nonetheless. Skiing, cycling and horse-riding holidays are also arranged by various lawyer groups, with financial and branding support from Central Office.
Keystone’s events programme fosters a strong culture of support and collaboration and creates a lively and enjoyable working environment. It is an integral part of life at Keystone and part of our DNA.
A great deal of time and care is taken integrating new Keystone lawyers into the firm by way of a tailored induction programme that covers both the technological and the human sides of the business. This gives new lawyers an overview of our systems and processes and a knowledge of who to turn to for ongoing guidance.
Our Community and Engagement team provides one-to-one support to integrate new joiners into the firm, introduce them to colleagues with complementary expertise and provide continuous support. The team’s role is about understanding each lawyer and their practice, and facilitating introductions to help lawyers find true partnerships with colleagues.
The team is led by Fiona Severs, Director of Community & Engagement.
Fiona retains an encyclopaedic knowledge of all of the lawyers at Keystone with instant recall, which means she is brilliant at finding the right people to work together.

Junior Support
Keystone lawyers benefit from access to exceptional junior support, spanning paralegals through to junior associates who are directly employed by Keystone. Known internally as COLs (Central Office Lawyers), this team is on hand to assist with matters of every scale. Whether support is needed on a significant corporate transaction, a complex research task, or the assembly of bundles ahead of trial, the COLs are responsive, skilled, and ready to step in.
All COLs bring with them prior experience from Top 100 law firms and are hand selected for their technical ability, professionalism, and adaptability. This ensures that Keystone lawyers receive the right level of assistance precisely when they need it, allowing them to focus their time and expertise where it adds the most value.
Keystone lawyers may alternatively choose to recruit their own junior team members to work exclusively with them. These PAs, paralegals, and junior lawyers—including trainee solicitors—can be engaged directly via the lawyer’s own personal service company. This flexible model allows lawyers to shape their own bespoke support structure, often enhancing their overall earning potential and enabling them to build thriving, scalable practices. The junior support framework is designed to mirror the autonomy and agility that underpin Keystone’s model. Lawyers can dial support up or down as their practice evolves, ensuring a level of resourcing that fits their client work rather than being restricted by a fixed, traditional structure. This creates a highly efficient working environment where the right people can be deployed at the right time—without excess overhead or delay.
Importantly, the culture within the COL team reflects Keystone’s emphasis on collaboration and high professional standards. Junior lawyers gain exposure to varied, interesting work across multiple practice areas, while Keystone consultants benefit from motivated, high calibre support. The result is a dynamic ecosystem that empowers both senior and junior lawyers to do their best work, ultimately contributing to exceptional client service.
The quality paralegal support really makes the difference; you are not on your own, you can put together the team required to get the job done.

Combining deep sector knowledge with strategic insight, the team works closely with every lawyer to develop tailored plans that elevate their profile, enhance their practice and support long-term growth. With a blend of passion, originality and a strong understanding of what resonates in today’s legal marketplace, the team ensures each lawyer is positioned as a trusted expert and a leader in their field.
From day one, lawyers benefit from highly personalised marketing materials and hands on guidance across every aspect of profile-building. This includes the production of bespoke brochures and polished pitch decks, assistance with writing and shaping thought leadership pieces, and advice on maximising visibility through a purposeful social media strategy, including LinkedIn optimisation. The team also manages and refines legal directory submissions to ensure each lawyer’s experience stands out, and provides full support for public facing opportunities such as conference speaking engagements, radio interviews and television appearances.
Beyond individual projects, the Marketing team acts as a strategic partner, helping lawyers identify opportunities, refine messaging and present their practice with clarity and confidence. This can involve market research, planning targeted campaigns, nurturing media relationships, or developing new digital content that showcases expertise to the audiences that matter most. The team also collaborates with lawyers to strengthen their brand presence over time, ensuring consistency, quality and effectiveness across all touchpoints.
Crucially, the process begins well before a lawyer’s first day at the firm. In the lead-up to their arrival, the team works closely with each incoming lawyer to craft an engaging narrative around their move, prepare all supporting collateral and develop a launch that highlights their services in a compelling and sophisticated way. This proactive approach ensures every lawyer steps into Keystone with momentum, visibility and a strong platform for success.
Director of Marketing & Business Development Kristina Oliver leads the team.

Their support includes helping lawyers navigate more complex billing requirements, such as phased billing, retainers or multi-jurisdictional matters.
A well-defined credit control process underpins the firm’s financial operations, designed to improve cashflow while protecting the integrity of each lawyer’s client relationships. The Finance team handles the administrative side of credit control with diplomacy and consistency, ensuring clients are contacted respectfully and in a way that reflects the lawyer’s individual style. The firm’s dedicated Compliance team ensures that these critical responsibilities are handled efficiently and intelligently, so lawyers can focus their time and energy on delivering exceptional client service. By combining deep regulatory expertise with a practical, supportive approach, the team works to simplify the complexities of legal compliance across all areas of practice.

They are on hand to answer questions, offer reassurance and provide clear direction on even the most nuanced issues, helping lawyers feel confident that they are operating within the highest regulatory standards without unnecessary administrative burden.
In addition to day to day support, the Compliance team plays a proactive role in helping Keystone lawyers maintain and enhance their professional expertise. Each month, the team delivers highly focused, practice specific sessions designed to be both informative and genuinely enjoyable. These sessions ensure that regulatory knowledge stays current and relevant, while also giving lawyers practical tools they can apply immediately in their work.
CPD at Keystone is about more than simply meeting formal requirements. The monthly sessions provide a valuable opportunity for lawyers to connect with colleagues across the firm, engage with the Central Office team and share insights on emerging legal and regulatory trends.
